APH:: FrUK Peonies

It was quarter to six when the entryway to their house lit with the lights of a car that stopped by their gate, and Arthur laid the scissors down. His gloves followed, tossed on the ground as his eyes were already fixed on the dark silhouette, bending to the driver’s seat as he paid the driver.
When Francis finally turned around and the taxi drove away, Arthur was standing on the pebbled pavement leading to their front door, stock still.

That was when Arthur grabbed him, took him fully into his embrace, even a bit painfully, with Arthur’s arms locked behind Francis’ back. But instead of wincing, Francis immediately let go of his suitcase and threw his arm around Arthur too. The last part of Arthur’s thinking brain noted that he was more important than the well-being of the smart black suitcase, and he stored it in his compliment department for later.

The picture doesn't have peonies in it, the title taken from the fanfic and I don’t think I’m doing the justice (I can’t draw plants or background for God’s sake)…but this scene stuck in my head for a long time since Eva posted Peonies part [link] of her Sixty-Four world [link] (go read them if you haven’t) and I’m a sucker for domesticity.
